A room full of strangers learns one pop song in three-part harmony in a single evening, sings it once for the camera, and goes home.

In February 2011, Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman crammed a dozen-plus people into a downtown Toronto real estate office for a singalong night, an idea left over from a friend's birthday party a few years earlier where they'd assembled a 13-person choir as a surprise. Everybody sang. And something happened in the room that neither of them could let go of. “We heard something we hadn't heard before,” Goldman said. “That sound you get when happiness begins to multiply right in front of you.”
